Early Years Week in our Primary School is always a joyful highlight, celebrating the energy, wonder, and growth of our youngest learners. Throughout the week, our students are immersed in experiences designed to delight and challenge them. With running races, archery, and long jump, the Tabloid Sports day is filled with laughter, determination, and proud moments as students step out of their comfort zones and give their very best.
These early experiences are far more than just special events, they play a vital role in shaping each child’s development. Through participation, students begin to build resilience as they try new things, confidence as they experience success and encouragement, and positive memories that anchor their love of school. Whether it’s finishing a race, learning a new skill, or simply cheering on a friend, each moment contributes to a growing sense of identity and belonging. These are the foundations upon which lifelong learners are built.
The week culminates in a beautiful time of connection as grandparents join us in classrooms and chapel to worship our great God. It is a powerful reminder of the community that surrounds and supports our children. As we reflect on the words of Jesus, “Let the little children come to me” (Matthew 19:14), we are reminded of the value and importance He places on each child. Early Years Week captures this heart, honouring childhood, nurturing growth, and creating moments that will stay with our students for years to come.
