Year 9 students have had the opportunity to try their hand at debating this term. The first two teams kicked off a lunchtime competition this week, arguing the pros and cons of spending billions of dollars on space exploration.
While they had some fantastic arguments, the real point of order was to learn the structure of a debate, experiencing the time pressures, judging, and challenge of rebuttal. Every student did a fantastic job!
