As the term draws to a close, I trust the past 10 weeks have been positive. Term 2 is always a grind. The weather starts to get colder, the days shorter, and the work in the classroom gets more serious. The Winter break is well-deserved, and I hope you have a restful time with your family.
As I write this article, I am in Wollongong with 39 Mueller Worship students visiting Cedars Christian College. Cedars has attended our Worship Conference for the past 2 years, and it is a privilege to pay them a return visit. We are spending time in workshops, chapels and encouraging their students to develop a culture of worship within their community. It is an encouragement to see our students present the Gospel so clearly through a message, worship, and just hanging out with other students.
We desire to see our students contribute to community. This has been a highlight of Term 3. A new program introduced in the past couple of weeks has been supporting the local chaplains in our neighbouring state schools. Mueller students have visited schools to run breakfast programs and before-school worship. It is a mutual encouragement to spend time supporting local chappies.
Term 3 is set to be another big term. We kick off on Wednesday July 15, and then the big celebration on Saturday July 18 with the Mueller Fete.
