Year 10 students have been going through a financial literacy course called ‘Real Money. Real Talk’ during SL@M over the course of Term 2. They’ve been learning everything from how to apply for a tax file number to how to read a pay slip, understand tax brackets, and prepare for their future with superannuation. It’s all basic life skills information that qualified financial planner, Jessie Culgart, says is often missed early in life. Year 10 students are now prepared to enter the workforce and begin their financial lives.
