The night opened with a stirring performance of ‘Fight Song’ by the Senior Concert Band, setting the scene for the sensational pieces to follow. The 1-3 Choir out-cuted the rest with their rendition of ‘Do Re Mi’, and ‘Clowning Around’ by the concert band had two of our dancers bringing the theme to life by tumbling across the stage.
The Vocal Ensemble brought a sweet performance of Harry Styles’ ‘Canyon Moon’, and the Jazz Band brought together the best of the best for a smooooth interpretation of ‘Feeling Good’ that elicited spontaneous whoops from the audience! Everyone joined together to finish the night with a mega-performance of ‘Goodness of God’.
Another special part of the evening was honoring the Year 12 students who have brought their talents and leadership to the music department over the years. Congratulations and thank you to Micah, Josh, Ella, Aurora and Katelyn.
