Every day, we have opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others. Have you ever noticed how one simple act of kindness can brighten an entire day? A smile, an encouraging word, a helping hand, or a thoughtful gesture may seem small, but these actions have the power to create a ripple effect that can spread throughout our school, our families, and our community.
The Bible reminds us in 1 John 3:18, “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” Love is most powerful when it is demonstrated… While kind words are important, genuine love is revealed through what we do. It is seen when we forgive someone who has hurt us, encourage a person who is struggling, or serve without expecting anything in return. Jesus demonstrated this throughout His life. He cared for people, helped those in need, welcomed those who felt left out, and showed compassion wherever He went. God has generously poured His grace, mercy, and love into our lives. These gifts were never intended to be kept to ourselves. Instead, they are meant to flow through us and touch the lives of those around us. When we choose to pass on God’s love, we become part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Today, ask yourself: “What can I pass on?” Whether it is love, encouragement, generosity, or forgiveness, someone around you may need exactly what God has placed in your heart to share. You never know how your kindness might brighten someone’s day and inspire them to pass it on to someone else.
