Last week our Year 9 Music students presented a classical concert to a full audience at Peninsula Palms Retirement Village. Showcasing works by renowned composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, students demonstrated their growing musicianship, confidence, and performance skills.
The concert concluded with a heartfelt rendition of Amazing Grace, with residents warmly joining the students for the final verse and chorus. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to share their musical gifts with the community and bring joy through the power of music. One of the residents shared a devotion from ‘Our Daily Bread’ for the day, which read: Music offers more than mere entertainment. It can bring joy, renew hope, and comfort weary souls. It’s truly one of God’s powerful gifts.
