This year’s Beanies for Brain Cancer event has been embraced by our student community, evidenced by the myriad of colourful beanies making their way around campus this week. The beanie stalls will continue to be open before school and in school breaks while there is still stock – get in quickly to avoid disappointment.

Students are able to further contribute to the fundraising by wearing their own beanies to school and bringing a gold coin donation on their designated day…

Primaries – Wednesday

Secondaries – Friday

This cause holds special significance for the Mueller family after the loss of one of our students, Asher Mashonganyika, to brain cancer in 2019. Asher, and his passion for basketball, will be celebrated on Wednesday with a Memorial Basketball Game where a Yr 8 All-Star team will verse the teachers, and an ‘Asher MVP’ will be awarded. Asher’s cousins, Shania and Admire, shared in Secondary Assembly this week, encouraging their fellow students that their contribution to the cause would help to give meaningful support to families facing the arduous cancer journey.

A big thank you to our Mueller families for so generously engaging with the Beanies for Brain Cancer fundraiser and exemplifying the power of community. Scroll through below to see photos of the week…
