The Book Week parade was a picture of colour and imagination as the Primary school circled the Lacey Centre on Tuesday. Despite the blustery weather that closed in, the classes joined together to celebrate literature with students dressed up as their favourite book characters.

There was a wealth of creativity on display, and the variety of costumes was evidence of the diverse tastes of the students. From dozens of Harry’s and Hermione’s to the whole cast of Wonderland, the Pokemon crew to Mrs Norford’s litter of dalmatians, the popular themes ranged from classic to current. And then there were the unique ensembles – a little Green Sheep, a Wolf Girl, a Sherlock Holmes, a Very Hungry Caterpillar and so many more.

Enjoy a peek into the fantastic 2021 parade…
