This week Mueller began its first-ever folk band. Folk music stems from the story-song tradition and is often presented in a more intimate setting as a means of passing along beliefs or family narratives to build an oral history.
Mr Blackmore, an avid lover of the genre, stepped in to take the helm as the keen students gathered for their first rehearsal. Guitars, violin, and percussion came together to work on Taylor Swift’s song ‘Safe & Sound’. Even as they played their first notes together, it is obvious the group will create something special to add to the Mueller Arts sound this year.
