After weeks of diligent planning and designing, the Year Two students thoroughly enjoyed their opportunity to fly their kites and see them in action.

Colourfully decorated and sporting the smell of freshly dried glue, the classes took to the oval for the big moment. Long string or short string? East to west or west to east? Run in a straight line or round and round in circles? There were decisions to be made and refined as they attempted to take their creations to the skies.

Now that they’ve experimented with their creations, students will take time to reflect on and evaluate their kite designs as they wrap up their Design and Technologies unit.
