Last week our Year 8 cohort traveled to the Gold Coast for camp. It was amazing to see the big steps many students took in their personal growth. There were many opportunities created to deepen connections in each form class during the surfing, initiative games and the stand-up paddleboarding & CYC Island group challenges and the group wholeheartedly took them. Worship sessions, devotions and camp life also created space for pastoral support and encouragements in conversations with students across the 3 days.
Staff and students were thankful to the Lord for the beautiful weather and for the CYC Burleigh team for their incredible support to the students both at the campsite and out on the activities each day, as well as the safe-keeping of all students and staff during their travels and stay at CYC Burleigh.
