At the end of last term, a select group of Year 7’s were able to partake in the annual Aerospace Immersion Day which allowed them to partake in STEM and Aerospace activities. The day aims to give the young students a vision of what following a STEM/Technologies pathway through Secondary might look like.

The group enjoyed experimenting with Lego EV3 robots after which they made some black powder-powered rockets. The rest of the grade came down to the oval to watch them launch the rockets, some with a lego payload attached. (No lego were harmed in the process of this project…but they did take quite a ride!)
