They planned, they packed, they prepped, and the Year 12 Outdoor Rec students took to the wilds to hike Mt Barney National Park at the end of last term.

The trek required a high level of commitment and fitness as the group took on steep terrain and varying weather over the 3 days. Additionally, they had to utilise teamwork skills to make navigational decisions as they made their way through the mountain peaks and gorges.

Though challenging, they took advantage of the waterholes along the way, enjoyed witnessing a mid-trek formal proposal, and made it back to tell the tale.
