This year a group of Year 6 students decided to run a girl’s group on Tuesdays at morning-tea time called G.G.I.G.G. (Girls Growing in God’s Grace). The club welcomes girls in Years 1 and 2 to play games, get to know each other, and learn about Jesus. Over the last couple of weeks, the Year 6’s are teaching the students about the story of Easter as we lead up to the end of the term.

The group is entirely student-led, with Mrs Harwin supervising while they meet in her classroom. She has watched them grow over the weeks and says the Year 6 girls have been doing an excellent job of organising the club and planning the content and games. No doubt, getting to interact with the ‘big’ girls is quite the drawcard for the little ones, as well as discovering the currency of the club is stickers!
