Beanies are everywhere as our annual week for Brain Cancer awareness rolls out. Each and every morning this week students will be able to purchase beanies from a range of styles and colours to raise awareness and funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation and wear them all week.

Beanie Stalls are open and in full swing before school outside the Chaplains office and on Level 2 of MPAC. They will remain open on Level 2 throughout each morning tea and lunch time. Beanies are selling for $10 (plain) or $15 (beanie with pom pom). The Beanie Stall will cater for both cash and Eftpos. Take a look at the beanie fashion parade photos below to see some of the styles and see there is a beanie for everyone!

For those not able to get to the Beanie Stall, Friday 4 August will be an opportunity for students to still participate by wearing their favourite beanie to school accompanied by a gold coin donation.

.

Additionally, each beanie purchase or cash donation will allow students to submit nominations for the teacher they would most like to see take the icy plunge in Friday’s BIG CHILL event. Serving as the week’s culminating celebration, the BIG CHILL will see a number of Primary and Secondary staff having to slide in full costume down the slide into iced filled water!

But the action began on Monday this week with a game of ‘Ice Caps’ in Assembly. Some ‘volunteer’ teachers and students were the first to get wet, paving the way for those taking the plunge on Friday.
