As part of a history unit, Year 3 have been learning about the history of Mueller College. This week they had some of the founding community of the school visit with Mr & Mrs Heazlewood generously sharing their experiences from dreaming of a Christian school on the Peninsula in the 70’s to the fruition of the buildings the students sit in today.

Mr Heazlewood fielded questions from the students like ‘how much did it cost to build?’ to ‘why did you want to start a school’? Mrs Heazlewood brought along her typewriter, telling the students she used to bring it to and from the school office each day to type individual letters to the parents in the 90’s.

Many of the Heazlewoods have made their way through Mueller as students, and this week’s session was extra special as they had their granddaughter listening in with her classmates!
