Charlie Moss:

“Year four camp was fun. We got to stay in little houses with our friends, it was thrilling. Some of the activities we did were archery, crate stacking, canoeing, rock climbing, even making damper, and at night we danced to songs like the Chicken Dance. There are four main cabins with about twelve people in each for the boys. Each cabin had four rooms and two bunk beds. But the girls cabins had just a big room where they would sleep. My favourite thing was archery. We shot real bows and arrows then we went to see where our bow landed.”

Ada Smith:

“I’ve never done anything like it before, playing with my friends, becoming a stronger class. I’m going to remember it forever. My highlight at the year four camp was canoeing. The walk to the lake was beautiful with lush green trees and bushes. I liked how we all had to work together to move. Next, we played Simon-says in the boats! We had to stand up! I won! Even though we crashed into big tree branches, it was my highlight. The activity I found most useful was damper-making where we made fires with flint and steel. I’ll never forget the fun I had with my friends and class.”
