Year 7 rolled up their sleeves last week (literally and figuratively) to dive into biology with a fish dissection. After a demonstration from teachers and careful instructions, they divided into groups and went on a biological treasure hunt, searching for reproductive organs, the heart, intestines, gills and more in the sea mullet. There were bonus points in play for locating the gallbladder!

Some pushed on through scrunched-up noses, and others couldn’t wait to take to the scissors, but all finished the lesson with more scientific knowledge under their belt and an experience to remember.
