QATSIF
QATSIF (Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation) was created to give Queensland’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families increased educational choices and life opportunities. It is an independent, not-for-profit trust managed by The Public Trustee of Queensland and operates through a small Secretariat.
The QATSIF runs a scholarship program as well as other activities which connect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with post-school opportunities.

Queensland Ambulance Service School Based Scholarship
Open to all new Year 10 QATSIF applicants across Queensland with an interest in a career in Paramedicine, emergency call centre responders etc. As well as receiving their normal QATSIF scholarship, these students will get to connect with First Nations Paramedics and will receive support with gaining their driver’s licence and first aid certificates. Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Service (QIFVLS) Barry Doyle Scholarship
Open to new Year 10 QATSIF applicants in Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, Bamaga and Thursday Islandwith an interest in a career in law, social work or supporting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. As well as receiving their normal QATSIF scholarship, these students will get to connect with First Nations professionals in these career areas. Click here for more information.
CPA Australia
Open to all new Year 10 QATSIF applicants across Queensland for students who either intending to study Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business subjects in school and/or intending to study Accountancy, Finance, Commerce or Business at a tertiary level in the future. As well as receiving their normal QATSIF scholarship, these students will get to connect with CPA Australia staff and will receive additional support towards purchasing IT devices. Transurban Paiabun Kurumba STEM Scholarship
Open to new Year 10 QATSIF applicants in the Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan regions with an interest in Engineering and STEM. As well as receiving their normal QATSIF scholarship, these students will get to connect with Transurban’s engineers, be offered a work experience opportunity at Transurban and will receive additional support towards purchasing IT devices and equipment.
