COVID has brought numerous changes to daily life.  Amongst the serious risk to health, the threat of financial turmoil and challenges to mental health, there are small annoyances to contend with.

Additional traffic around campus due to limited parent access may be one of those things for you. We all value our time and it can be frustrating to feel like it is wasted sitting in a car.

But as we move forward with the current restrictions, with the safety of our students and the wider community in mind, patience is key. So why not turn the temporary inconvenience into an opportunity? We came up with some ideas to lighten your afternoons and make your traffic time purposeful…

4 Things You Can Do in School Pick-up Traffic

1 – Pray the A-Z’s of your family and friends

Start at the beginning and pray for those in your world whose names start with A, then B, and so on. Prayer is never wasted.

2 – Find a familiar playlist

What grade are your children in? Calculate what year you were in that grade and find a Spotify/iTunes playlist from that year (eg. 1999) to take you down memory lane. Give your kids some music education when they finally get in the car.

3 – Catch up on your favourite podcast or start an afternoon session of listening through an audiobook.

4 – Pray for the school

Pray for the leadership, your child’s year level, their teachers, their friends, their learning, the roads, the traffic…pray, pray, pray! Mueller College was built on the prayers families just like you and they would testify that prayer changes things. Imagine if this season of frustration could be turned into an outpouring of prayer for our community here at Mueller.
