The 11th of November is Remembrance Day, a time when we pause to remember not only the Armistice that put an end to the First World War but all of ‘those who died or suffered for Australia’s cause in all wars and armed conflicts’.
One of those who served is Steve Breen, a long-time staff member who is currently part of our grounds team. Mr Breen shared his incredible story of serving in the Vietnam War with the Secondary students earlier this week. He has a powerful testimony that captivated the entire MPAC audience and gave everyone watching reason to reflect as they contrasted the hardships of 2020 with the hardships of conscription, conflict and sacrifice. Please take a moment to watch Mr Breen’s story below.
Today, all Mueller students will be given a poppy to wear and will pause to observe a minute’s silence as we collectively remember and appreciate those who sacrificed for the freedoms and privileges we enjoy in Australia today.
