As far as excursions go, they don’t get much more exciting that a trip to the Zoo! On Thursday last week the Year 4’s took a trip to Australia Zoo. The students were able to have some time with one of the Zookeepers and learn about how animals adapt to survive in their climate zone.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Wildlife Warrior Show’ where we watched a ginormous saltwater crocodile being fed lunch! Of course, there was also plenty of time to explore the zoo and some of the favourite moments were patting and feeding the kangaroos, climbing up the treehouse on Bindi’s Island and watching the tigers swim.

This is one of the highlights of the year for Year 4 and a day we won’t quickly forget.
