There was a stampede at MPAC over the weekend as Mueller crowds flocked to see the Primary musical, ‘The Lion King’.

From the opening notes played by the orchestra, the audience was mesmerized as they were transported to the midst of the African savannah. Over 100 students made up a menagerie of animals – from lost baby elephants to lumbering giraffes and bustling buzzards, the show was a feast for the eyes.

There was plenty of laughter as Timon & Pumbaa took the stage, a few little ones snuggling closer to mum and dad as Scar and the hyenas made their presence known, and even a tear or two as Simba said goodbye to his father. Everyone who attended would agree the young cast and crew flexed their artistic muscles and carried the big story on their little shoulders with gusto and professionalism.
