Last week the Year 10 cohort was invited to spend the day at the University of the Sunshine Coast. The visit aimed to give students some insight into what life is like at university, and to give them exposure to what the university has to offer.

The group got to tour a variety of departments, including nursing, engineering, computer science, large lecture halls, multi-purpose classrooms and more. Many of the photos below were taken in the nursing labs where they have mannequins that simulate various medical procedures and bodily functions.

The highlight for students was the food trucks and games on the lawn at lunchtime, as well as hearing from various university departments about what courses they offer. It was great to see the opportunities on hand as they progress into their senior years of Secondary.
