Over the holiday, Tourism students participated in volunteering at local Visitor Information Centres (VIC) at Clontarf and Redcliffe operated by Moreton Bay Regional Industry and Tourism (MBRIT). The experience forms part of their assessment for Certificate II in Tourism. Students gained knowledge of regional tourist attractions within Moreton Bay. The area hosts a large variety of natural and manmade attractions, accommodation, and dining experiences. Moreton bay is experiencing high growth within this industry sector and employment prospects are well suited to school leavers.
Their experience at VIC’s will prepare them for their Term 3 Tourism excursion to local attractions on Bribie Island and other areas of interest within the region.
