Year 10 Mathematical Methods students got out of the classroom this week for a practical project.

While it could be argued that all maths is practical, this assignment brought it home by tasking the class to record an accurate model of the facade of the Lacey Sport Center. This saw students figuring out measurements using trundle wheels, jumbo measuring tapes, and angle measurement devices, as they paced and perused the edge of the structure.

Will they be the future engineers of Mueller? Only time, and assessment marks, will tell!
