Upper Primary took to the track last week in the annual cross-country race. The sun was shining and there was plenty of house spirit on hand as students cheered each other on and vied to be the winning team by entering as many athletes as possible.

The growing athletic ability of the participants is always exciting to watch on days like this – the perseverance in pained faces as they search for the finish line and the look of relief and accomplishment when they finally reach it. But it is the strength of camaraderie and kindness amongst the students that shines even brighter – the smiles on faces when runners see Mrs Heath blowing bubbles on the back straight, the Secondary students lining the track to cheer the athletes on, the multi-class competitors circling back to finish the race together, and one student literally pulling his friend across the finish line!
