Last Thursday our Senior Dance students travelled down to Home of the Arts (HOTA) on the Gold Coast to see a live dance performance and participate in a practical workshop.
For the performance our students followed nine dancers as they presented their movement responses to the Landscape and Terrain across various sections of the HOTA precinct.
During the workshop component the students spilt into smaller groups to learn, choreograph and respond to their chosen architecture.
The students thoroughly enjoyed both the performance and working alongside the dancers in the post-show workshop. This was a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to see contemporary dance work outside the theatre environment.
