This weekend nearly 70 students from Year 5-12 stayed on campus overnight for Netball Academy Camp. The newly formed teams had time together to build positive Academy culture and strengthen their team bonds, and it all began with messy games! After time around the bonfire, and some input sessions from coaches, the hard work of training began early on Saturday morning. The girls then divided into mixed teams for an evening tournament, and spent a couple of sessions preparing to fight for victory.
Saturday afternoon brought an ‘Amazing Race’ session that included such activities as lunging their way around D block (which they all felt on Sunday!). The weekend was finished off with a Fast 5 Tournament in which the winning team faced off with a staff team. The girls had an amazing time and are feeling prepared for the competitive season ahead.
