Geography students in Year 9 took a trip to the khaki wonderland that is Australia Zoo last week. Their main task was to gather information for their upcoming assessment that examines koala habitats, threats to the population and conservation strategies implemented to help preserve these creatures.

While there was some serious work to do, the group also had the opportunity to pat a koala and a snake, head to the Crocoseum to experience the Wildlife Warriors Show, and explore the rest of the zoo. They finished the day with a thorough examination of the gift shop.

(Thanks to student, Jeremy Chung, for the great photos of the zoo inhabitants)
