The Mueller Film Awards (more affectionately known as the Miffy’s) saw our Film, Television & New Media students showcase their best work of 2024. The night kicked off with a movie-themed supper provided by the Hospitality students that included a Baby Yoda Mocktail, and Mrs Trunchbull’s huge chocolate cake. With a green screen photo booth featuring famous movie scenes and the invitation to come dressed as your favourite movie character, the scene was set for a fantastic night.
Nominated students from Years 9-12 debuted catchy YouTube clips, thoughtful documentaries, fun TV show credits, creative music videos and genre films that made audiences giggle, bite their nails, and cheer!
Award categories included writing, directing, editing and acting, with high achievement recognised by Year level awards. The coveted ‘Year 12 Best Film’ award went to Molly Steinohrt’s ‘Whispers to Tomorrow’ film – a huge achievement in itself but made all the sweeter when it also took home the ‘People’s Choice’ award as voted by the audience.
