Some Year 6 students got busy preparing an extra-special end-of-term party before the holidays, creating their very own fast food store. No detail was spared with students building an ordering app complete with branding for their ‘Five Guys Food Inc’ pop-up. Classmates could scan the QR code on their tables to peruse the menu and order from their desks, OR visit the ordering kiosks at the counter.

The group ‘hired’ employees to help with service on the day, brought all of the supplies themselves (thanks mums and dads), created a menu and made an ingredients list for the discerning customer. With a little help from teacher aides to heat the food, the group delivered milkshakes, ice cream, spiders, burgers, hot dogs and fries to a very happy class! Done entirely in their own time, the party was a raging success and a hint at the budding entrepreneurial spirit in Primary students.
