As a culmination of their History unit in Semester 1, the Year 6 cohort participated in a ‘Day in Colonial Times’. The incursion is designed to recognise aspects of Australian society and democracy before and after Federation in 1901.
Students had fun dressing up in Colonial styled clothing to stage a protest, make their own butter, participate in popular Federation and Indigenous activities, enjoy Australian food and finish the day with a bush dance!
