The Arts rotation for this year includes a semester of Music for all Year 8 students. This semester we kicked off by learning piano.
We started out with the basics of where the notes were on the keyboard and then finally finished with learning some chords. These fun and interactive classes give students the experience to play along to some popular songs. Students could be heard throughout the grounds practicing on a regular basis. This week they completed their piano performance, where every student performed their chosen pop song on the piano in small groups.
We are looking forward to our next unit, experiencing and learning the guitar.
