U15Boys1

U15Boys1 have been working on their line attack moves (quickie, scorpion) and sub box variations recently at training. Along with this the boys are learning to embrace the mantra that ‘winners don’t whinge’. Coach Collingwood and Coach Webster said they were really impressed with the team’s improvement in both skill and character in this week’s game against Pine Rivers SHS. Coming away with a 3:3 draw there is lots to improve on, but the boys are all accountable to each other which makes the progress easier and faster. Special mention to Xavier Purcell for taking control of the play through his constant talk.

U15Girls1

In training, U15Girls1 have been working on running a ‘shotgun’ for line attack, refining their sub box pattern, and increasing their talk to each other during the game. Coach Harrison and Coach Casey were delighted with an 8-0 win in this week’s game but kept reminding the girls to follow their structure for upcoming regional tournaments later in the year. Special mention to Mileigh Rossitter for her organisational talk in the heat of the game and Ella Pearce for finding space on a number of occasions.
