Last week Year 7 students executed a mid-semester assessment that saw them develop a product, plan a marketing strategy, and map out a business plan that was presented ‘Shark Tank’ style in front of a panel of ‘sharks’ and their class. Their multimedia presentation not only informed the audience of their entrepreneurial intentions but served as a springboard for selling their idea to the potential investors.
As per the format, ‘sharks’ were given the opportunity to grill the ‘business owners’ at the end of their proposal meaning students had to be prepared to justify their plans. With Mr Valese serving as a ‘shark’ alongside the Year 7 teachers, students did well under some intense pressure!
