The Year 7 Chinese classes had the opportunity to taste 10 different Chinese snack foods this week. There was quite a mix of flavours from garlic peas, to liquorice marinated dried mango, to much loved Hello Panda biscuits.

The students can now use some of these flavours, among others, to help create their ‘fusion’ foods in their menu assessment this term. This will combine common Chinese food with common Aussie food, resulting in culinary gold (like deep fried pavlova with hawthorn fruit and mango) or culinary horror (like hot Coke tea).

It makes for a disgustingly fun and creative term!
