Grade 9 Geography students visited Australia Zoo on the wettest day last week. That was great though, because there were so few people there, it was cooler, and the animals liked being out in the rain!

The goal of the day was to investigate the ways this tourist area actually follows its claims of being Conservation focused, especially because we want to know more about koalas in our local area. We learnt heaps about conservation, the need for saving endangered species and how we can help.

We met up face to face with a Woma Python and stroked koalas and a little kangaroo. Robert Irwin even gave the Crocoseum talk! We got to see nearly every animal at the Zoo, in the rain, and it was a great day out!
