On Tuesday 9th March 13 Year 9 students went to Australia Zoo on the hottest day possible! Regardless of the heat and how busy we were, it was a fantastic day out. The students were given an educational talk on Conservation and the threats to Koala numbers in our area. They had the opportunity to touch a Woma Python and Koalas, and the walk to Africa in the heat made us appreciate the shuttle bus ‘Zoo train’ on the way back to ‘Australia’!

Viewing the Croc show in the Crocosseum was another highlight…but no Robert Irwin this year. These students were impeccably behaved and so appreciative of the opportunity to study geography in the field – what a brilliant day!
