Food and Textiles classes got a treat this week when they were invited to gather around the table of a mini-multicultural street food festival hosted by Year 9 Food Technology students.

The Year 9’s were tasked with creating a plate of finger food that represented the school’s multicultural, contemporary nature. They needed to prepare it themselves keeping in mind it should be visually exciting and flavoursome. And according to the partakers, they well and truly succeeded! With Thai satay skewers, sushi, mini-cob loaf and chocolate drizzled pretzels amongst the many options, the tasters were positively glowing.

Each taster was asked to cast a vote for their favourite plate by placing a button in the corresponding jar. Today, Amber Leckey took the honours for the dish that tickled the tastebuds the most! Her skewers were divine!
