Year 12 Biology students tripped to the Sunshine Coast last week for some dedicated fieldwork time. The camp was part of their Ecology unit with Point Arkwright becoming their research location for the class to collect data to investigate rocky shore zonation and impacts.

To conduct their research, students had to formulate their own experiment and practice using both equipment and the natural environment to carry it out. They then learned to collate data, analyze it and apply it to real-world environmental problems.
