Year 12 Mueller students, Jayden Richens and Eli Jones, recently played in the Baseball State Showcase at Redlands. Both had a fantastic competition with Jayden playing pitcher and Eli playing catcher.
Eli also went on to play in the softball U19 Men’s State Championship with the Gold Coast Bulletin praising his play with the following… ‘Jones will mostly play catcher but can contribute nicely in other positions if required. He’s a reliable hitter who can spread the ball to all parts of the diamond and will be a key contributor for his team.’
He was also named in the ‘Top 45 Players to Watch’ which bodes well for his future endeavours in the game. Well done Eli!
