Year 9 student, Aliyah Hionis, was selected to represent Little Athletics Qld on their annual NZ Development Tour, highlighted by competing at an international level in the Colgate Games held in Dunedin in January 2024.
The games were held over 3 days, where she competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, long jump and high jump, achieving personal bests in all her five events, including a top 5 finish in long jump in what was an extremely competitive and tightly-contested event. The experience was amazing and has inspired and energised her to continue her Athletics journey.
