In the Primary school, the students and staff are eagerly awaiting the completion of the new playgrounds down on the oval.  The students stand watching and asking, when will it be finished? When can we play on it? They know that when it is completed, they can enjoy nature play, ninja courses, cubby houses, sand pits, slides, monkey bars and the thrill of exploring the tall towers. Hopefully, the wait will be over very soon.

Waiting can be hard!  What are you waiting on at the moment?

Waiting for your child to settle into their new class environment?

Waiting for positive friendships to blossom for your child?

Waiting for the Easter holidays to enjoy some time off?

In a season of waiting, we can find ourselves asking, God, where are you? What are you doing?

In Isaiah 40, God says, “ But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.”

God’s delays are not His denials. He hears all our cries and longings and gives us all we need for the journey. While we wait, He gives us His strength so we can soar like eagles, run, and not grow weary.

Charles Spurgeon says, “God is too wise to be mistaken. God is too good to be unkind. So when you don’t understand, when you don’t see his plan, when you can’t trace His hand, trust His heart.” You can trust His heart today while you wait!
