Welcome to Term 2. I trust you had a great break and are rested for the next 10 weeks of school.

The highlight of Day 1 will the opening of the new Primary Playground. After 10 weeks of students eagerly looking through the construction fencing, the playground is finally open for PLAY! I am biased, but I think the playground is the best one on the peninsula (and maybe even further afield). There is a Ninja Warrior Course, 2 huge sandpits, cubby houses, shop fronts, nature play, creek bed with a hand operated water pump to make it flow, 2 gigantic towers for imaginative play and plenty of other areas to enjoy. Play can teach our young people so many life skills. It goes far beyond the smiles and enjoyment. It is our aim that the new playground will build community amongst the Primary students.

Our Year 8, 11 and 12 Mueller Worship students will leave on Thursday to visit Discovery Christian College in Agnes Water. It is a privilege for our students to travel and serve smaller regional schools. The students will lead Chapel, run a worship night and also run a Youth Program on Friday night. We are excited for the impact the Gospel will have through our students’ service.

Looking ahead to Week 2, I would like to invite you to the Mueller ANZAC Service. We are truly thankful for the service of our Armed Forces and the sacrifices they have made.

I trust the term ahead will be full of learning and smiles.
