Last Friday, Mueller was abuzz with excitement and joy as we welcomed over 500 grandparents to our campus for a special Grandparents Day celebration. Prep, Year 1, and Year 2 students had the incredible opportunity to share a part of their school day with their beloved grandparents. With warm embraces, grandparents were ushered into classrooms, where they witnessed firsthand the engaging activities and educational journey of their grandchildren. From vibrant artwork adorning the walls to the captivating learning experiences documented in books, grandparents were fully immersed in the dynamic atmosphere of our Early Years classrooms. Following the classroom visits, everyone gathered for a special Chapel service, where we were learnt that God is everywhere.
At Mueller, we deeply value the profound importance of intergenerational relationships and the invaluable role grandparents play in the lives of our students. Their wisdom, love, and guidance lay the groundwork on which our children grow and thrive. Having grandparents actively involved in our school community not only enriches their educational experience but also fosters a profound sense of belonging and interconnectedness.

Investing in and mentoring the younger generation is a responsibility that does not lie solely with our grandparents—it is a responsibility shared by all, whether grandparents, parents, family members, or friends. Proverbs 22:6 challenges us to “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This verse reminds us of the pivotal role each of us plays in shaping future generations. Through prayer, teaching, guidance and support, we not only contribute to individual growth but also cultivate a society where each successive generation can grow, thrive and make meaningful contributions.
