The Popcorn Club for Year’s 1 & 2 meets on Tuesday lunchtime outside of the chaplain’s offices. Some of our Year 6 leaders, Charlotte, Zelmi and Caitlin, began the club this year as a means of helping their younger schoolmates feel connected. In Charlotte’s words, ‘We wanted them to know they have a friend and a place to come where they feel known’.
This week the group did some get-to-know-you activities before playing some games together. On the alternate weeks they enjoy a popcorn feast together over a bible study, then (cleverly) finish with a ‘let’s see who can pick up the most popcorn’ game.
